CTET Syllabus and Exam Pattern

Before taking the CTET Exam, applicants should familiarise themselves with the CTET Syllabus and Exam Pattern, which will help them prepare better for the exam. When it comes to CTET preparation, it is a good idea to look through the curriculum thoroughly. Within the CTET Paper-II, subjects are Social Studies, Science, English Language (including Hindi), Child Development & Pedagogy, Environmental Studies (including Mathematics), and Mathematics. Knowing the test pattern allows us to become more familiar with the nature and difficulty of the questions that will be asked during the exam.

When it comes to CTET Paper I and II, what is the difficulty level?

CTET Paper I and II have a moderate difficulty level, which is easy to moderate. The topics covered in the NCERT syllabus for classes I – V would be the basis for the questions in CTET Paper I; however, the difficulty level of the questions might be as high as that of the Secondary school level.

The ideas, problem-solving ability, pedagogical knowledge, and applications of the disciplines will be the primary emphasis of CTET Paper II- Mathematics and Science and Social Studies/Social Science, respectively. The questions will be divided into several divisions of the subject’s syllabus as defined by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) for grades VI-Vol.

What kind of negative marking is there in CTET?

CTET does not use a negative marking system. For the best chance of scoring above-average marks, it is recommended that applicants attempt all questions in the exam.

The CTET certificate is valid for seven years from the date of issue.

What is the type and level of difficulty of the questions asked in CTET?

The importance of recognizing the characteristics and requirements of various learners, contact with learners, and the features and qualities of a competent facilitator of learning will be emphasized more in the future.
