 BJP Candidate List for Delhi Assembly Election 2025: According to BJP sources, a reason for this delay in announcing candidates was “lack of options” on certain seats.

BJP Candidate List for Delhi Assembly Election 2025: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday released its first list of candidates for the Delhi Assembly elections due in February.

The list of 29 candidates includes former West Delhi MP Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma, who will contest against AAP chief and former CM Arvind Kejriwal from the New Delhi constituency. Former south Delhi MP Ramesh Bidhuri is set to go up against CM Atishi from Kalkaji, while former AAP Minister Kailash Gahlot has been fielded from Bijwasan instead of his turf Najafgarh.

Raj Kumar Bhatia, Delhi BJP vice-president, will contest against AAP’s Mukesh Goel from the Adarsh Nagar constituency.

Kulwant Rana, former BJP vice president and Delhi MLA, will contest from the Rithala constituency.

Manoj Shokeen, contesting from Nangloi Jat, has been the president of Outer Delhi BJP since 2017, served as MLA from Nangloi in 2013 to 2014. He was also an MLA from Mundka, Delhi, from 2008 to 2013.

Rajkumar Chauhan, former Congress MLA who joined BJP in 2024, will contest from Mangolpuri.

Vijender Gupta, current MLA from Rohini and member of BJP’s National Executive, is contesting from Rohini.

Rekha Gupta, former general secretary and president of Delhi University Students Union, and a member of BJP National Executive, is contesting from Shalimar Bagh.

Ravinder Singh Negi, MLA from Patparganj, will contest from the same constituency.

Dushyant Kumar, BJP National General Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP from Haryana, is contesting from Karol Bagh.

Raaj Kumar Anand, former AAP minister and Delhi’s ex-Education Minister, will contest from Patel Nagar.

Manjinder Singh Sirsa, former BJP National Secretary and ex-MLA from Rajouri Garden, will contest from Rajouri Garden.

Ashish Sood, former Leader of the House in South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) and ex-BJP Delhi General Secretary, will contest from Janakpuri.

Ashok Goel, a chartered accountant and BJP in-charge for North-West Delhi, will contest from Model Town.

Kailash Gehlot, a two-time MLA from Najafgarh, will contest from Bijwasan. He joined the BJP in November 2024 after leaving AAP.

Gajainder Yadav, associated with Delhi’s OBC Morcha, will contest from Mehrauli.

Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma will contest against AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal from the New Delhi assembly constituency.

Tarvinder Singh Marwah, former Congress minister who joined BJP in 2022, is contesting from Jangpura. He served three terms in the Delhi Legislative Assembly in the Second, Third, and Fourth Assemblies.

Satish Upadhyay, former Vice Chairman of NDMC and ex-President of BJP’s Delhi unit, will contest from Malviya Nagar.

Anil Sharma, elected to the Delhi Legislative Assembly from R K Puram in the Fifth Assembly, will contest from the same seat.

Kartar Singh Tanwar, former AAP MLA who joined BJP in 2024, will contest from Chhatarpur.

Ramesh Bhiduri, former South Delhi MP, will contest against CM Atishi from Kalkaji.

Narayan Dutt Sharma, a member of the Sixth Delhi Legislative Assembly, will contest from Badarpur.

Om Prakash Sharma, a former Delhi MLA and one of three BJP MLAs in the 2015 Delhi elections, will contest from Vishwas Nagar.

Arvinder Singh Lovely, who resigned as Delhi Congress president for the second time and joined BJP in 2024, will contest from Gandhi Nagar.

Jitender Mahajan, current MLA from Rohtas Nagar, will contest from the same constituency.
