Salman Khan Gets His Balcony Covered With Bullet Proof Glass Amid Threats; Video Goes Viral

Salman Khan has upgraded security at his Mumbai residence. The balcony of the actor’s Galaxy Apartments house has been covered with a bullet proof glass. On Tuesday, a video from outside the residence surfaced on social media in which the balcony of Salman’s apartment was seen covered with a blue sheet. Sharing the clip on his Instagram handle, Paparazzo Varinder Chawla revealed that it is a bullet proof glass, installed for the safety of the actor.

The stepping up of the security comes at a time when Salman Khan has been facing several death threats, majorly from the jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang. In April 2024, gunshots were fired outside Khan’s Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai’s Bandra area. Later, it was reported that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang is alleged to be behind the attack as the gangster’s brother, Anmol Bishnoi, claimed responsibility for the shooting incident via a Facebook post.

Later, the Mumbai Traffic Police also received a message from the gang, demanding Rs 5 crore for Salman’s “forgiveness." The message threatened that if the demand wasn’t met, he would suffer a fate “worse than Baba Siddique," who was shot dead in Mumbai on October 12, 2024.

After the shocking incidents, Salman Khan’s security was upgraded. In October 2024, the actor also acquired a bulletproof Nissan Patrol SUV worth approximately Rs 2 crore, imported directly from Dubai to Mumbai. Besides this, safety measures were also implemented outside the Bigg Boss 18 sets in Mumbai’s film city. Reportedly, Khan’s security team was also reinforced with an additional eight to ten armed officers, and a special command center was established at his residence by the Mumbai Police.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Salman Khan is gearing up for his next release, Sikandar, directed by Sajid Nadiadwala and AR Murugadoss. The film, set for an Eid 2025 release, features a stellar cast, including Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, Prateik Babbar, Sharman Joshi, and Kajal Aggarwal.
