The Railways said on Friday that 94 mail and express trains and 140 passenger trains have been canceled due to the violent protest against the 'Agnipath Scheme'. While 65 mail-express and 30 passenger trains have been partially cancelled. Railways has also diverted 11 mail and express trains. Officials said that the total number of trains affected so far is 340. In such a situation, people thinking of commuting somewhere through trains may face problems.


Railway administration issued alert for GRP


The railway administration has issued an alert in view of the increasing opposition to the Agneepath army recruitment. Information has been received about the call for Bharat Bandh on June 20 in protest against this scheme of Railways. In view of this, the Northern Railway has asked the GRP to remain alert in Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Delhi. The railway administration has directed to ensure the safety of railway properties along with the local police on this issue.



The call for 'Bharat Bandh' on June 20 raised concerns


Railways has directed the GRP to ensure the safety of all passengers on May 20. Care should be taken that there should be no sabotage in the railways and the operation of all trains should be smooth.
